Nick Maxfield, who recently accepted the role as the Facilities Equipment Supervisor, was nominated as the 2014 Hospital Hero Award Recipient. Nick has been recognized for his service to his peers, his effort to look beyond the status quo in finding solutions to problems, and for always going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure the staff has the support and supplies they need to deliver excellent patient care.
Nick provides support to ensure the bedside nurses have the supplies and equipment they need to guarantee the patients receive excellent care and are in a comfortable and safe environment. He takes it upon himself to be at the bedside with the nurses, asking them to share their deepest concerns, and is always willing to find a solution and take on a challenge." said Angela Johnson, Director of MICU/N4-ICU. Nick was invited to attend the 2014 Hospital Heroes Award Ceremony on November 21, hosted by the National Health Foundation in Los Angeles, along with his manager, director and family.
