Since 1901, people have depended on Riverside Community Hospital for innovative and advanced medical care. Today with our 373-bed facility and highly specialized services, we continue to provide comprehensive healthcare for the entire family.
Today, Riverside Community Hospital is investing $315 million in the health of the community through the construction of a major hospital expansion project to meet the needs of a growing community, and to ensure an even higher level of care and service. Scheduled to be completed in 2018, the expansion and renovation project will give Riverside Community Hospital the ability to better serve the Inland Empire Region by improving access to healthcare with a total capacity of 445 acute-hospital beds.
To make this expansion possible, the City, County and State collaborated to develop an incentive package featuring a sales and use tax sharing agreement between the City of Riverside and Riverside Community Hospital's parent company HCA Inc., training and recruitment dollars to offset hiring costs, energy efficiency rebates including a special economic development rate for expanded electric usage and targeted permit fee rebates for construction.
