Transplant Program
Transplant Program
Riverside County’s Only Transplant Program
Riverside Community Hospital’s Transplant Program offers both kidney and kidney/pancreas transplantation. Our patient-centered program offers individualized diagnostic and treatment services provided in a compassionate, safe environment that embraces whole body healing.
Our transplant program is dedicated to providing the most comprehensive treatments for patients where transplant is the best or only option. Our board certified physicians and highly experienced multi-disciplinary transplant team have earned the reputation of providing exceptional, comprehensive clinical services. In fact, our survival statistics consistently exceed national averages.
The transplantation procedures are performed by interdisciplinary teams of specialists. All transplant candidates receive a thorough evaluation to determine their suitability for transplant surgery. Once they are put on a donor list, patients undergo continuous monitoring throughout the waiting period. Immediately after surgery, patients are taken to our inpatient transplant unit, staffed with nurses specifically trained to care for transplant patients. Upon discharge, the transplant team monitors patient progress, including any signs of rejection or infection, and any appropriate follow-up care.
You have the power to Donate Life. Be an organ and tissue donor.
