Our ER is dedicated to providing comprehensive, emergency and trauma care to the diverse population of Riverside County and greater Southern California. Our Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is available to all people in need. We provided care to over 110,000 patients in 2015.
Our emergency facility is one of the busiest and largest Level II Trauma Centers in the Inland Empire. Our new helistop provides much needed, high-speed access to the hospital for people who are need in need of emergency medical treatment. The new helistop is located on the North Wing of the hospital, adjacent to the ER, on 14th Street.
With 50-beds, our ED/Trauma Center is also the most efficient. Utilizing our Rapid Medical Evaluation (RME®) program, most patients can be seen by a qualified medical professional within an average wait time of 15 minutes upon arrival. Learn more about our ER Wait Times.
At Riverside Community Hospital, all the ER physicians are board certified in Emergency Medicine, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of emergency care.
We are also an accredited Chest Pain Center,a Riverside County designated STEMI (ST-elevated myocardial infarction, heart attack) Receiving Center and we are home to a comprehensive, highly skilled team of medical specialists available around the clock.
